Folding/Compact Umbrellas

So Vancouver has been raining a lot for last few months... And I'm tired of buying cheap umbrellas that snap in half during the windy days...

Does any of you guys have any recommended brands for umbrellas?

I'm looking for one that handle wind at any speed without breaking the support,
dry off easily and faster after use (not leaving umbrella outside for hours to get it dry,
AND it must be portable so I can put it into my backpack.

The umbrellas I got at BCIT lasted me years and years under the wind and it only cost $5.99 at that time. You can try the ones at BCIT (theys till have it coz I just bought one yesterday but it cose almost $10 now!).

I know what you mean. Is not just that the umbrella break but it gets flip over so easily and you are trying to hold it in such a way it won't filp lol and yourself all wet............

The only other choice is to get those big ones which will do great against the wind.

i think you're asking too much from an umbrella.
if its an extra windy day just pack a rain jacket.
