Nice belts

Looking to buy a nice belt to go with denim/b casual attire.

Anyone know of a nice one?

Any plain, good quality leather belt. Tanner Goods makes nice belts. I'd avoid flashy stuff like LV or JL (does anyone still wear that??).

if you saw the belt thread you'd see that tons of RS members do

Not everyone is into raw denim. I wouldn't suggest Tanner Goods for every person on Revscene as they don't really look good with every type of denim. Go for something simple, like a Prada or Ferragamo belt. They will look great with jeans and any casual attire.

Don't go for one with a fat plate in the middle to scream out "LOOK IM WEARING GUCCI/LV/PRADA/D&G/HERMES.. CAN YOU SEE IT?!"

Energy 04-04-2012 10:00 AM

Yup, a simple belt from those two brands you mentioned is good too. What I was trying to say is get a good quality belt that isn't too flashy.

Not really racist! 04-04-2012 11:05 AM

My LV and Gucci belts are probably the purchases I'm least proud of.
They've been sitting in my closet for months.

I get more wear out of my plain black leather belt.

can never say its dead forever, style rotates all the time.
people used to dress slim in the 50s/60s, and then it went baggy, now it went back.
some day it'll go back again no doubt.

I've been rocking Mexx belts for the past couple years.

Quality sucks. I guess I get what I paid for lol.

Matlock 04-05-2012 02:16 PM

I still wear my old studded diesel belt. The quality is top notch and it can double as a bludgeon.

what you guys think of this one?

SkinnyPupp 04-06-2012 07:10 PM

Anything without a logo is good. I am happy with my Banana Republic belt, and I have cheap ones from Aldo and H&M that both look nice and aren't flashy or goofy looking

insomniac 04-07-2012 12:31 AM

@Armind looks good but a bit bland. Will go well with dress pants and stuff but dont think it will go super well for denim or casual clothes.

PJ 04-07-2012 06:00 AM

All depends on your style..

I actually like that Burberry belt. It does have a bit of a subtle design, and at the same time it doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME I HAVE A GUCCI BELT!"

But hey.. if that in-your-face look is what you're into, then by all means.

Verdasco 04-14-2012 03:30 PM

been rocking a mexx belt for 2 years and still not broken.... cheap and reliable not bad  and my 200$ designer belt i never touch anymore :suspicious: in my closet
