Its an 00 s2000. I'm lost right now as to what to do, if I clear the code and perform the drive cycle the code should come back if I didn't fix the problem correct?

or disconnect your battery or EFI fuse for a couple minutes, that should reset it as well... but you have to complete a drive cycle in order for your readiness monitors and self diagnostics to be complete...

you are allowed to have ONE readiness monitor incomplete with no check engine light or codes to pass aircare...

so i bought myself an obd2 reader and cleared the light a couple days ago. after it was cleared it gave me a yellow light which meant pending trouble (drive cycle required). today i checked and everything is green and good to go. *thumbs up

if anyone needs to borrow an obd2 sensor, give me a shout and ill read your code for you. save yourself money from going to shops and getting charge 60 bux.

^ Where abouts in E. Van? I might be around renfrew/29th tomorrow night.

If you're not in a rush, just buy one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Autel-MaxiScan-MS300-Diagnostic-Vehicles/dp/B001LHVOVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351634809&sr=8-1&keywords=obdii+scanner
It's a great price. The device is simple, cheap, but it works.

I have the same one, I think I paid $30

you can buy an obd2 attachment with bluetooth or wired cored to connect to your phone and download one of the obd apps from apps store and save yourself money from buying the actual thing.
