Looking for a super basic phone

I want to downgrade my phone...I've been using a smart phone for a long time, 3GS, Nexus S, Galaxy Note and the Iphone 4.

I am looking for something really really simple that I can use worldwide. I'll be working on a super remote island for 2 years and don't need anything fancy. I'd prefer a non-flip phone dont don't really care. Duel-sim could be a nice feature to have.

It NEEDS to work in North America and Europe as I'll be travelling back and forth very often

Any suggestions people?

Super remote being a 3 hour ferry ride from the mainland...100 people. It will only be used when we travel around the UK or come back to Canada.

get a good condition bold for under 100 (those phones are bulletproof, my gf had the same one for years).... its awesome for voice and sms only... but if u get a good "bb social" plan with your carrier you can access email facebook for super cheap.

As for a Dual Sim phones Im not learned on the subject but most ive seen dont work in canada but these do

It depends on what you're planning on spending $$ the first 2 i listed above are like on the cusp of being smartphones so they're around $125-170

you can go cheaper certainly or you can spend a little more and actually get a low end smartphone

Also it depends on when you need to grab one? as there are some awesome featurephones coming in a few short months that will basically blur the line between smartphone and budget phone and still be cheap as heck
