Problem with punctuation

Problem started a couple days ago, basically a lot of my punctuation marks are coming up funny...

question mark = É
tilde = |
at sign = "
hat (shift 6) = ?

This only occurs when I`m typing a posting a reply, works fine if I'm typing in word or even in address box of IE. Any idea what the problem isÉ

Happens occasionally to me too....

Not sure if this works for anyone else... or what the proper way to fix it is... but when it happens to me, I just hold down the shift key and control key together 2-3 times.... seems to switch it back for me

On the bottom right there should be a keyboard icon, click it and change it to US. You have yours sets to Canadian

It's because your computers are configured also for Canadian French. To get rid of this problem permanently, right click the keyboard icon, then go settings --> highlight Canadian French and Multilingual standard and "Remove" followed by OK.
