There is definitely a shortage of mac dealers right now. I believe there are only two guys that run in town at the moment. North shore and Richmond are both waiting to be filled.

Few years ago, I needed a new anvil or shank or whatever its called for a snap-on air ratchet, and they were able to fit me with an IR part that works well

cool thanks guys. my mac gun is pretty awesome so i'm not gonna buy an IR or snap on gun unless i can't get this one fixed.

anyone (in richmond) remember charlie that used to sell mac tools? that was like over 4 years ago now i'm sure. there hasn't been a mac guy in richmond since i guess! he was a good guy to deal with. we've been through like 3 snap on guys already. that murray guy is one helluva salesman, he sold me a tool box and my boss a scanner! son of a..

so i decided that i was too lazy to get ahold of a mac guy to get my impact gun rebuilt, and being a cheap asian, i decided to open it up and clean it inside and figure out why air kept coming out while i wasnt using it. a can of brake cleaner, some ATF and some minor modifications to a seal.. what a difference! good as new, if not a little better. i was told that the muffler traps moisture inside the gun so i removed that too. its loud but i wear ear protection at work so whatever
