Holy shit... although the driver was stupid... but prop to BMW that its safety features still kept them alive.

I always thought any crash of 120+ is pretty much GG. They were doing 300?!?

The Germans really do make great cars. To survive a crash like that is very impressive. Sad to see a nice car go like that, but something tells me they will have another M soon enough.

Damn, that's one heck of a stable. Maybe they have a X5M and X6M as well, and a M1 for grandson?

Probably needed a few more computers in it to prevent the crash.

Not surprised. The Germans are naturally good at making safe cars. I feel very safe driving my X5. My next car will still be made by bmw.

My dad has a friend who is a BMW recycler, and he says they go thru saw blades 3-4X more quickly than if they were working on regular cars. The metal on these cars are that much thicker.

While BMW makes very safe cars, it was pure luck they survived that crash. There's no car in the world that could protect drivers in a 300km/h collision. They were lucky in the angle they hit the divider and the path the vehicle subsequently took. If they had hit another car while crossing the highway there would have been nothing left of either vehicle or the occupants.
