| RS Off Road Meet 2012
Trail Run?
Stocker Friendly?
West/East Harrison or Squamish/Elaho or Boston Bar to East Harrison?
Maybe camping?
Lead vehicle would need VHF to do call outs at KM marks incase of logging trucks, don't know about the weekends though.
CB or GPRS for the rest of the people would be good.
Summer is fast approaching |

Nice, this takes the pressure off me to set up a wheeling meet hahah
East harrison to Boston bar would be neat, I wanted to do it for awhile. It's probably stock friendly too, but I've never done it.

i remember a guy doing it in a stock rubi.
i think if there are a few built rigs that can give the stockers a yank here and there we should be ok.
like i said, lead vehicle should have VHF to do KM call outs since we're riding in such a large group.
probably wise for someone to bring some tools and what not incase we have break downs.
we can make a list or something with stuff we can bring for the trip?
given that the majority will be stockers, we could use GPRS radios to keep in touch while on the road. I've got 2 so i can give one to another person.
a BBQ party would be pretty awesome too, maybe find a nice stretch on the lake by east harrison?

I'm down, possibly even camping. I'm super down for the bbq. This will be my first time wheeling. I have front center and rear lockers. Also like 90 percent tread on bridgestone duelers at rhs. If you want more people to come, it would have to be stock friendly. Plus I want to see what my rig is capable of.

What are you driving? A rubicon?
I've got tools covered. Air would be nice so people can air down if they want, my trucks ride is shitty too. My compressor (and hi lift) got stolen though..

the trail run/meet will definitely have to be stocker friendly. we could do 10/20 mile bay on the west side of harrison or try to get down to the water/sand on east harrison.
sounds like a recon mission is required |

havent been up east harrison in a while, you think we'll make it to silver river past bear creek?
would be cool to find a way down to the water and take a line up shot with all the trucks/suvs with the lake in the background.

I was past bear creek like a month ago and it was fine, but we didn't go all the way to silver river. We turned around at about 30km I think

i think to keep things simple we'd have to do a bring your own shit to grill.
i have a small portable charcoal bbq i could bring for people to cook on.
also have propane stoves.

whats the best way for us to gauge interest in this?
should we do a numbered list with name thing?
hows the best way to get the word out since not everyone frequents this subforum?
should we post in unofficial meet instead and use this thread for organizing?

Depending on when and if my Scout is back on the road I may be down. It should be streetable/wheelable by maylong weekend as I intend on ass raping it hard. Its been too long since I had her out.
I suggest if you organize this that everyone that attends has their own basic supplies tools and recovery gear as this stuff aint always cheap and noone likes to ruin their gear to save someone else.

given that its a stocker run i doubt people will break down but i am bringing chains, snatch strap, shackles, tire plugs and hand tools.
i'll be bringing a shovel, axe and bbq as well.
i dont mind donating charcoal either for the run.
would be cool if we had a compressor or on board air. i have a compressor i can bring but it takes a while to fill up a 32".
this run will pretty much just be fsr with a bit of side trail exploring. i dont want to scare away people as most will worry about pin striping and trail damage.
once people get their feet wet we could organize something a bit more challenging. |
