South Memorial Park. There's a row of conifers that should have large pine cones.

Central Park, Stanley Park are good too.

If you want to make an adventure out of it, go to Pacific Spirit Park at UBC. You're guaranteed to find what you need there.

Nothing at QE/Stanley and Central only has the super small variety less than 3 inches.
PSP is abit far as you have to go in pretty deep to find pinecones and would be a bitch to lug out to unload in the truck. I want to fill the whole bed up.

Pine cones typically don't fall until, well... fall time. You may be hard pressed to find what you need. My backyard has a couple dozen conifer trees and those haven't dropped any cones for a while now.

packing peanuts would have the same amount of LOLS without the mess pinecones make.

....if you're doing what I think you might be.

Yes I do realize they dont typically fall until... fall since I have a giant one in my back yard. Which is why I was hoping to find some parks with less maintenance than QE/Central where they groom the crap outta everything. I found half of what I need at devonshire park. Yes packing peanuts would be easy they blow all over the place.

you do realize that it would take you a couple of years at least to grow another pine cone tree like the one you have in your backyard. Also, i'm pretty sure a big pine cone doesn't necessarily mean a big pine cone tree.
