Tips from a bike thief

I was on BCSB and someone posted a link from reddit. Story is pretty much an ex thief who used to steal bikes is giving some tips on preventing your bike from being stolen. I just thought I would shed some light for you guys.

BCSB link to the thread:
Confessions of a bike theif......

Reddit link:
EX Thief & "chop-shop" operator AMA : motorcycles

Some were kind of obvious. Basically what I got from quickly skimming through it were:
-the longer it looks to steal the less chance it has of being stolen
-disc lock on the rear wheel (invest in good disc locks)
-chain through a braced swing arm but if it must go through a wheel use the rear one (invest in good chains)
-gated apartment complexes are more common areas for a bike theft to occur
-lojack doesn't seem to offer much protection?
-loading a bike onto a truck or van isn't as common as you think
