Because Point Roberts is closer, and the only time I go to Abbotsford is for the Air Show or if I'm on my way to Pick-a-Part.

I don't mind paying the extra gas tax... if our fucking government had a clue on how to spend it.
Example: Traffic signs have been added to the 99/91 routes to show estimated times (i think their are 4 or 5 of them total). Cost, 2.7 million dollars. $2,700,000 to tell me I am going to sit in traffic for 20 minutes. Add this to the list of things they waste my tax money on.

LOL when I hear "analysts" say that the prices are due to oil demand
If there's so much of this so called demand then is why a barrel of oil around $90 .... grrrr
I think after you adjust for the amount in taxes we pay currently per litre with the amount paid when the barrel was $150, the amount we pay per litre just for gas does not add up...JMHO

Political turmoil in oil rich areas? Bam...even with no substance.
Refinery down in Blaine? There's a lot of demand.....Bam, substantially up.
Its' a game, unfortunately, we are at the wrong ends - unless you have some Oil stocks (not now, but before the rise and paying dividends/gains)

It was
- $1.41 Tuesday night,
- $1.49 Wednesday night, and
- today I saw $1.48 (morning), $1.42 (9.30 pm, when I filled up), then $1.50.

Riding my bicycle more. It's not too bad. Going to be about a 40 min bike ride to work on a dedicated bike trail when I move in a few months. (Only viable if you live close enough)
Definitely hedge and buy oil/gas stocks.

We're getting raped. These gas companies keep giving different bs reasons why gas prices are so high...
1. Depends on price of oil. Back when oil was $150 a barrel, gas went up to $1.50 a liter. Oil is now $90 a barrel.....
2. Depends on supply and demand. Less people are driving by themselves and more people are carpooling now so there should be plenty of supply and less demand.
3. Depends on the price the gas was purchased at. When oil prices go up, gas prices go up immediately or the same day. When oil prices go down, it takes at least a week and sometimes they don't even lower the damn price.
4. Depends on speculation. Anyone can make a speculation. I find it funny how one person makes a speculation and gas prices skyrocket because of this speculation.
It's total bull that these gas companies are gouging us. Someone who has the power needs to do something. This price gouging/fixing needs to stop

I read an article like 2 weeks ago about the Blaine refinery fire that happened in February. It's prevented the refinery to go full production and thus causing "shortages" in supply which I think is full of shit and more like an excuse to cause fear and drive prices up.
Most places are seeing decreases in prices except west North America. Even California gas prices are insane. So looks like we're just gonna have to wait for the refinery to fix its shit first.
And well of course we're seeing all these new taxes so ya getting owned left and right...fuck

finsihed gasoline and crude oil is traded on different markets. Think of it as wood (raw) and furniture (finished).
FYI None of Blaine refinery product comes to Canada.
