Gaming pub?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows any pubs/bars/restaurants, preferably Downtown Vancouver where a group could sit and order food/drinks, while playing boardgames?

We were at Guilt & Co. the other night and that was not very conducive to board gaming when you have to scream as loud as you can at the person sitting 1 foot away to hear you.

Unfortunately, EXP Bar closed down cause that was a fun place.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Not in dt, but there's a bar called The Cove at Alma and 4th which also has trivia nights on Mondays. If it's not too far for you u should try it out. Here's their site: The Cove Pub in Kitsilano, Vancouver B.C | The Cove Pub in Vancouver BC

why not just go home and order a pizza with your friends?

I dont see how being in a bar with 20 other groups, everyone yelling yahtzee every 30 seconds is fun for anyone.

or is it one of those things where you like to show off the game your playing?

like going to starbucks only to show off your cool new mac book, and make sure everyone see's how important that spreadsheet is.

Yeah, honestly, board gaming is not something that's easy to do in a pub/restaurant setting because a) spacing and b) noise. Play at home and get takeout/delivery, or at a local gaming store with a place nearby to make a food run.

We have access to one of the swanky meeting rooms at BCIT and it's right over the pub at Burnaby campus. If we aren't feeling like pub food we usually go somewhere for food when we're all ready to go home.
