Completely understandable that we got a huge discount, but if you look at other players making around $6.5m next year, ROR is not even in the same league.

RoR potenial is a harder nose type Kesler, according to Don Cherry from what he explained about this kid during HNIC last season.
Flames are in rebuild mode, they are probably trying to rob the avs then give him a new contract in 2 year time when they get their shit together.

Flames never seem to be able to make up their mind with how they want to build their team. They would trade away assets and picks for rental/garbage players. Then next thing they do is acquire young guns and shit. In my books, rebuilding is just bombing a couple seasons to get some draft picks. Follow in the footsteps of teams Pens, Hawks, Oils.

Had Booth not suffered those injuries, I think he would be a solid first liner.
