I remember the Edler situation and the 'concern' that he wasn't re-signed prior to the lockout and could've gone to free agency and what not.
Hopefully Tanev gets locked up; kid is a stud.

The only thing that matter is can one of our No.1 goalie bring a young clutch scoring winger, without that it defeats all purpose next season.

I have a gut feeling Ballard isn't going to be bought out. He's probably going to be traded. At $4.2 per year, I'm sure a lot of teams will jump on it. Plus if you look at the dman UFA crop, it's pretty shitty this year.
Ballard/Luongo is gone.
I have a gut feeling Booth is here to stay especially we have no second line winger if Raymond isn't back.
2/3 of our Florida guys are gone after this summer. Looks like we are not the Vancouver Panthers anymore...lol

Paajarvi only if tanev is playing hardball but still need a clutch scorer... regardless of trading with division. Schneider would look good in Oilers uniform so will Eberle with Canucks 
North east teams trade with each other all the time.

No chance Booth gets bought out, he's taking quite a while to rehab his ankle with not much timeline on when he could be back really.
Doubt anybody wants damaged goods that won't ever be the same... "again". He's gonna get a chance I gather, meaning Ballard is the one to go. I wish we could keep Ballard and rid of Booth though. But there isn't any "cheap" cap hit wise legit top 6, gotta pay to play if you wanna replace Booth through FA or trading

The Blues still have to sign Chris Stewart, Patrik Berglund. And one would guess they want to lock up long term deals with Kevin Shattenkirk and Alex Pietrangel.
Blue have said recently they are not worried about not having these guys signed yet and would match any offer sheet. They hope to have these guys locked up a week or so before the draft, which is coming up.
I love the type of player Chris Stewart is. He would excel in the playoffs.
