| F440 Karting
Just a heads up if you have not trien go karting at F440 in Tsawwassen.
They are going to shut down for good in four months.
Went there Wednesday night and had a blast. I would definitely recommend you bring your own helmet like we did.
You do NOT want to put on one of their helmets

I heard that too. They are keeping the water slides and building a mall around it like West Edmonton Mall or something like that and thus that means F440 has to go.

No way? They are going under? That totally sucks...
I know their karts are a little tired, but the course is fun and grip levels high. Being outdoor is a major bonus as well. As good as TBC is, I really like F440 a little more.

Not going under, but they are re-delveloping the area and they decided to keep the waterslides.

Outdoor tracks > Indoor tracks.
Sad to see F440 go. Many of my first motorsports memories were made there.

It was great, though TBC is definitely cleaner by a long shot.

Also, if they re-locate to an indoor facilities, they really need to either replace their whole fleet, or at least significantly re-vamp 90% of their old, beat-up engines. Last time I went karting there (like, 2 months ago?), my kart's engine didn't sound all that healthy, and things looked more or less the same for the other karts. So their "slower" carts are their realy old carts.

Time to go electric. I used the electric karts at an indoor place in Vegas and they were awesome. With electric there is no such thing as fast or slow karts. they also had a great timing system. Got a print out of everyone's lap times at the end and you could see your lap times as you went by the start finish on a big screen after every lap.

All I remember about karting at F440 is that you could full throttle all but maybe one corner in their karts. Maybe the karts got faster since I last went, which is around 10 years ago. The track was really built for the bigger cars & racing karts.
