Richmond City Bylaw Ticket question

Hey I have a quick question about a $45 Richmond By law ticket I received. I parked one of my cars on the street in front of my house overnight which was not insured and had no plates on it. I came out and I had a $45 no insurance ticket. The ticket does not state any information except my VIN#, not even the model of the car. If I don't pay it will they be able to catch up with me by only the VIN#? The car is also being sold soon if that matters.

Thanks!

Yes. ICBC has a record that shows on such and such day this VIN belongs to this vehicle and was registered to this owner.

You're lucky it was only a bylaw.... a violation ticket under the MVA is $598 and you would have likely been required to move it onto private property or have it towed.
