If you're using it for a few litres in a lawn mower or small engine, no biggie but most cars take 40L+ to fill. In my case, I can go through 4-6 Jerry cans from empty and those self-venting cans take twice as long.

^ if you put the smaller spout on top vs on the bottom when you're refilling, its much faster to drain

I know but still way slower than having a seperate vent. The spout is smaller and the "vent" still gets covered in fuel and has to bubble back. The old style has air behind, which is ideal.

Made sense to me. Well, it is supposed to be on top. WTF? It made it drain a lot faster but still too slow.
I like the jerry cans they sell in the US. Better yet, the 5 gallon fuel jugs used at the track, although you're not supposed to put gasoline in it, LOL.
