iPhone 4S camera limits - foreground/background

Was wondering... can the iphone 4S capture an image but keep both foreground and background items clear?

as in the photo below... how can I have every plane clear and not so blurred?

You could try to light up the room more (forcing it to use a smaller aperture) so that everything is more in focus. Though I'm not sure if that makes any difference for the iPhone camera....it's fundamentally different from normal camera lenses.

Most people want that blurry background :P

maybe you'd have to use an app, like an HDR app or something, to merge two photos together i think. not sure if it'd work.

Maybe a different camera app with manual focus would be able to do this....

I tried using Camera+, but couldn't figure out how to get that to work.

Manual focus does nothing if the aperture doesn't change.

It's not the focus. It's the aperture of the iPhone 4S.
The iPhone 4S uses a F/2.4 and it is a fixed F-stop so there is no way stopping it down to a smaller aperture (bigger number, ie: F/5.6, F/8 etc..).
There is no possible way to have everything in focus at that angle and distance with the iPhone 4S native camera app.
