RIP Olliver..love and appreciate your pets!

My sisters male cat was outside and disappeared for about 3 days..he usually comes home and eats, but no one had seen him in a few days. He was about 8 months old. He came back tonight with a broken jaw and skull. It seems like someone hit him with a blunt object, maybe a baseball bat. We brought him to the vet, but he wouldn't make it. We had to have him put down.

If you let your pets outside, try to keep tabs on them..there are some sick people in the world that disregard animal life..it sickens me to know that within a few hundred meters of my house is someone disgusting and pathetic enough to kill a defenseless house cat.

Love and cherish your pets. Take care of them and make sure your neighborhood is safe if they roam around.

Had to get it off my chest. Sorry for the depressing post.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister's cat, especially under such terrible circumstances. I'm sure your family gave him a great life, before it was cut short.

Thanks man. She's in pretty rough shape right now. In the next day or two I'm going to be putting up some posters around the neighborhood letting everyone know that someone in the area killed our pet..the last thing I want to see is this happening again.

That is atrocious. Animal cruelty is absolutely unforgivable. Sorry for such terrible circumstances, and your loss.

This is in Abbotsford. Average neighborhood. I figure some kid probably did it. Such a fucked up thing to do to an animal, no consideration for the animal or it's owners at all.

Way too early for the poor cat to go..and it must've been in such pain..but it managed to make its way back home. I wish they could've save him.

The vet seemed to think that it was most likely done by a person, judging by what the damage looked like.

It's a very good idea to put up posters if there's a possibility someone maliciously attacked your poor cat, usually attacks on neighborhood animals are not one off occurrences...

I live in Abbotsford as well; I'll let my friends in the area know to be extra vigilant about their animals safety.

He managed to make it back home even with a broken skull just to say goodbye.

I'm of the considered opinion that anyone who intentionally inflicts pain on an animal, should have similar treatment inflicted upon themselves. They ever find the guy that hurt your cat... he gets a bat upside the head. Someone leaves their dog to starve... they should be left to starve.

Happy to hear your cat at least made it home so you weren't left wondering - having a pet disappear and never knowing why is one of the worst feelings.
