BMW N54 turbos now have extended warranty in US

This clause also specifically states that the issue includes wastegate rattle as well. This is on top of the HPFP 10/120k warranty.

I guess Im going to skip that extended warranty purchase!!

The only other critical part are the injectors but those are cheap now. $120 each and its not like all six would simultaneously fail.

For those of you who havent seen the news SIB, here it is: dated july 2012

LINK FIXED! Check PDF attachment below!

Edit: this applies to All 50 states according to the SIB. But only N54 between 2007-2010. You are screwed if you have N55 or 335iS (N54)
Quoted from e90post. This is definitely good news because like the guy said, the only other weak point in this engine is the injectors.

Can anyone that works at a dealership here confirm whether or not this is going to apply to Canada as well?

was 2011 or 12 the last year of production of the N54 setup?

If I bought one from the states and had it approved in Canada would it still be eligible for warranty here? I've heard so many mixed results I don't know what to believe.
