Brittania mine back country exploration aug 26 (4x4)
 

so this was discussed earlier in the year and it got some attention, short notice of sorts, but August 26 (sunday) is the day

gonna be a couple jeeps from squamish going up and anyone is welcome to come see some hidden old mine stuff behind brittania beach.

you will need a 4x4 of some sorts, 2wd will not cut it. the road is not in bad shape, but there are enough steep hills with loose rocks to discourage 2wd trucks or any cars from coming. With that said any stock 4x4 truck or suv will make it, no lift needed.

there will be empty seats in the jeeps if people want to meet at furrey creek (starting point) but hopefully a few more trucks will show interest from here!

As interest is gathered i'll make times and locations known, but as it sits, sunday the 26th and furrey creek are the starting point

but how much ground clearance do you need? I don't have skid plates.

screw a sheet of plywood to the bottom and you should be fine :troll:

i would be down to do a trail run after the 27th. i can bring straps, shackles and tools. hopefully wont need to use any of those.

Are all the creeks furrey in that area?

so we'll meet at 10:30 in brittania, right by the mountain woman resturaunt and the general store

theres now 3 or 4 trucks coming from squamish plus you guys.

look for a blue cherokee, red cherokee and most likely a black and red ranger that looks like it just came back from the Rubicon trail (it did)

my numbers 604 892 4426 and we'll probably wait until 11 until we go.

there will be a few empty seats available but I can't confirm any more than 2.
