I would shy away from WD40 to clean it.

WD40 swells the gasket which doesnt cause harm (or so they say) to the O ring in the chain, but even if it doesnt cause damage swelling and immediately wiping off then applying another lube is where the harm is. If you didnt wipe all the wd40 off, it will just eat the other lube which makes pointless. Im sure it wont cause short term damage, but in the long run

Stick with cheaper, easier to use, kerosene. If you ever repaint the bike too, your painter will thank you.

caught me off guard today haha. wasn't til i was downtown that i ran in to strong winds. all of a sudden i'm leaned over pretty far even though i'm going straight haha.

it's funny how the body automatically reacts to situations. i didn't even think of leaning to counter the wind, i just did it as a reflex. =D

It will say kerosene on the bottle..clear and simple..do not buy the ones that says camp fuel or whatever, heard they are totally different things..

I've purchased kerosene at Canadian tire at the camping section, the bottle says kerosene

It's a long shot, but does anybody have a spare brake fluid reservoir kicking around?

Need the whole thing: cup, seal, cap, and hose to the MC.

got into an accident this morning travelling eastboard towards mcgill and comissioner. guy in his dodge pickup going westbound decided to do a u turn after he saw the car in front of me pass and assumed it was clear. i was barely able to clear his rearend but i ended up in the gravel by the median and went over the handlebars. i have no idea about my bikes condition but everyone at the scene said it looked totalled (then again fairing damage to most people looks like a totalled bike), in a way, im kind of hoping it is.

i had a ton of people stop for me and see if i was alright, the driver didnt run, the ambulance came pretty quickly and the police came later to give him a ticket. i'm very grateful for those people who stopped & be my witnesses

well boots are all scuffed up, the jacket looks fine, my helmets banged up with some scuffs (im sure icbc will replace that), and the gloves have some dirt and rocks scrubbed into them. i would say the boots really saved my feet, they are scuffed up pretty good by the ankle guard and the toe slider, right now my pretty sore but im sure it would've been way worse otherwise.

looking into buying kevlar jeans very soon. my concerns right now is since i didnt hit the truck i will be found liable in some way (though i do have witnesses). also i have no idea how compensation works. if anyones gone through it let me know!

i would at least speak to an ICBC lawyer before you have too much dealings with ICBC.
they can usually help guide you through the process and usually get you a bigger settlement as they know how to word things well.

key points are:

1) see a doctor often
2) keep track of your daily progress (what hurts, whats getting better, whats getting worse)
3) keep receipts for anything medical

hell i think RS has an ICBC lawyer as a sponsor.
yup, here it is. The Vancouver Lawyers at McComb Witten Have the Experience You Need | McComb Witten

The size of warehouse you would need to carry all the color combinations in all the years and makes of motorcycles would just be incomprehensible.
