When's the next Grom ride? Been pondering going on a group ride but I would prefer a relaxed pace and enjoy the scenery than exhaust myself trying to keep up with more experience riders on bigger bikes.

I rode the Sea to Sky this morning to Squamish, just because it was my birthday (yesterday) and the weather was beautiful out.

Our rides are usually off the cuff. I mainly ride with my scooter crew as I have the most fun with them. Not to fast, but just a fun cruise. On our fast rides we keep a minimum of 70-75km. Slower rides are like cruising and parade pace.

DKaz what do you ride again?

There's also a Vancouver Grom Facbook group you can join, but we're just starting up so its not as active. We currently have 6 members who have actually showed up to our rides. Come join the West Coast Scooter Community, great community with a bunch of great guys helping each other out.

For me, I honestly don't care what type of bike I ride with. As long as we keep the same pace. Hell if you wanna ride fast, why do you need a group to do it? Just go out riding by yourself. We're more casual. We ride long distances and then eat. Then again on a scooter even riding to Richmond from BBY could be a long distance.. :P

Anyone know if there are any legal issues riding with a dog backpack?

I'm not looking to do long distances, but just to be able to ride to the park and take him for walks.

I have a Min Pin, so hes tiny and would fit comfortably.

I commuted from Fleetwood to downtown Vancouver everyday for 4 months on a 49cc. Put 6500 km on it during that time period. Lol. 13 years ago I rode a 49cc out to Harrison, that was super fun.

I have a CBR 125R. It's marginally faster than a Grom.

Harley-Davidson recall

The recall covers certain Electra Glide, Ultra Limited, Police Electra Glide, Street Glide, Road Glide and Road King models from the 2014 and 2015 model years.

The CL-16s are on clearance and most of the good sizes are sold out.

Dragon-88, I joined Honda Grom Vancouver.

The thing about being a few of the crazy ones riding out in this weather, _everyone_ waves. Not just an ok I'll wave if I can, or give a head nod or something, it's like full out OMG someone's as crazy as me I need to wave!!!111!!!!!!! Mind you I only passed three other motorcyclists lol. And a scooter I would've waved too but it was too late when I noticed.

I still wave to gas powered scooters.

E-scooters can go fuck themselves though

I try to as well. A lot of them won't even look at me. When I was on a scooter, I waved at people.

I hate those scooter styled E-bicycles, they're the most confusing things in the world. But a guy on Vancouver Scootering is selling his electric limited speed motorcycle. It'll do 60km/h+ and requires insurance and a class 5 license.

2006 evt 168 electric scooter

Motorino has one too, $3700 last time I asked.
Motorino GTx Electric Motorcycle

I want a Zero S or DS one day.

Oh final complaint, those e-scooters should be advertised in the bicycle section of Craigslist since that's what they are.

Motorcycle accident yesterday at 5:30pm 152nd St and 101 Ave in Surrey. Twitter post on @news1130traffic showed firefighters and paramedics tending to the rider. I hope the rider is recovering well.

Edit: removed photo.

That's an awesome bike, some incredible potential there. I'm getting pretty jealous, not enough funds or time to start a project like that.

250/300cc to play it safe, and youll have to really think about your maturity level if you decide to go for a 600cc. Just take it easy and either option you should be ok. Personally I think something like a ninja 650 is ideal.

Washed my bike for the first time in 12,000km. Still shines pretty well for being nearly 10 years old.

I started off on a Suzuki GS 500F!! Great starter bike as I am 6'1", 200lbs, it doesn't have too much power to get you into that much trouble.
