Camera shops in Oregon

Any suggestions for shops to check out? I'll be heading down this upcoming weekend and my friend wants to pick up a Canon lens and a couple accessories while we're there.

i've always bought at The Shutterbug, they have quite a few branches around. They're quick to transfer stock between stores as well. Home page - The Shutterbug

During my trip last year Shutterbug was pretty much the only store that kept regular stock of most items. It was too bad considering I went down there hoping to buy something camera related. Imo you're better off ordering from bh and shipping to Blaine (say, on the way back if you're down there for more than 2 weeks)

Damn, that's a little disappointing. Was hoping the photography scene was a little bigger than that down there. Oh well, we'll check out Shutterbug and Fry's anyway. My family is always flying to New York, so I suppose I can convince one of 'em to swing by BH at some point if the need arises. lol

+1 to BH/Amazon and then shipping to border or even directly to your door

There's a Shutterbug at the Woodburn Outlets so while the woman is shopping, you can always browse for your own toys too. :P

That's essentially what I did

But tbh, they didn't have much in terms of "higher-end" stuff like the more "attainable" L lenses at the time (17-40, 100macro, 70-200 f4 IS, etc). Plus when I was down there they didn't have much of a sale, so I ended up not buying anything.

Hopefully when you head down there Lomac there's at least SOME sort of event, otherwise online stores are still your best bet if you're seriously considering buying in the US.

I've bought most of my stuff @ the shutter bug @ the washington square in OR.
One of the sales guy is originally from Vancouver BC. I'll try to dig for his bus card. He was able to give me a small discount on my gear.
