That's like saying that the cig companies are the coolest ever because they sponsor all the cool events out there ( or used to anyway ).

Energy drinks are like the new cig companies. I'm ure 10years from now when they realise it's not good for you they won't be able to do that either.

First of all this story is sketch from the get go.
For all we know the police officer was being a complete dumbass which lead to his own death. Or they were racing or the police officer actually did cut the guy off.

The stupid thing is this guy didn't report what happened to the police right away. Instead he was dumb enough to try and cover it up. What a fcuking idiot.

I would say Red Bull is as harmful as smoking a joint, probably less since you aren't inhaling smoke.
But, in both cases the reward outweighs the risk.

When Apple sponsors something like Formula 1 Racing, Air Racing, Stratosphere Jumping, or Crashed Ice maybe I'll think they're cool.

But smoking a joint relaxes the body and doesn't effect the heart like energy drinks do.

Energy drinks are way worse than weed. One is a man made upper, and the other is a plant.

Weed is the wrong drug of choice. If anything, and still a dumb comparison, but compare it to cocain.

You do realize every time you smoke a joint you inhale smoke. There are carcinogens, ash, oxides, amoung other things. Just because it isn't as bad as a cigarette doesn't mean there are not detrimental health effects of smoking weed.

I'm a 24 year old healthy male. Do you think smoking a joint or drinking a red bull would have any serious health effects on me? No.

Like any substance you must weigh the risks vs benefits. I agree that red bull is probably worse than weed in regards to the general population, but I would not put energy drinks in the same category as a cigarette company.

ie. smoking weed: benefit > risk - acceptable risk
drinking red bull: benefit > risk - acceptable risk
smoking cigarettes: risk > benefit - acceptable risk
tylenol: benefit > risk - acceptable risk, even though if you OD on acetaminophen you will die.
