Where to get custom upholstery done locally???

Folks,

I am in need of an upholstery shop to take care of some work in my M3, was looking at brining the car down to Cali on a vacation and leaving it with Topstitch, but they seem to have a pretty bad reputation... unless of course you are a celebrity.

Work to be done is basically to take these seats...

And cover them with black alcantara and tri stitching like this...

And then install them in this...

Thanks in advance!

Try Trim Up Auto in Richmond.

After all my experiences with Alcantara I would suggest against it. Stuff looks great in the beginning then gets pretty nasty looking and is hard to clean once the dust gets onto it.

Doesn't seem to last as long as good old leather.

Just my experiences with it.

I hear ya, luckily I'm a neat freak and I actually am willing to get in and out of my car like a chimpanzee to avoid any fabric wear lol.

You'll need gloves too for the steering wheel. The sweat from your hands makes alcantara get kinda gross after a couple years.

IIRC, Alcantara is widely used because unlike suede, it can very easily be cleaned and/or washed. Try using a steam cleaner.
