sick.. cant waitt

I think UMF will probably have a better line up, but I'm biased in saying EDC will be a better venue

Majestic12 11-02-2012 08:31 AM

Booked my hotel already just in case, before they started jacking up the prices.
$430 for 20-23rd at Bally's.

Couldn't find much else cheaper that's on the strip and not shit (Imperial Palace).

Disappointed from this year's EDC that they had to shutdown day 2 completely. Missed Armin's set. And the lineup to get your tickets from willcall was a complete zoo. Tens of thousands of ppl not in a line, but a swarm to the front of the line. Once I got to the front, my credit card used to buy our tickets didn't process so I had to go on my phone to bring up the receipt. Guess what, no reception there. Luckily a US person saw and lent me his phone to use so I could bring up the records. Ridiculous

Priceline's name your own price ftw. Got Trump this year for $130/night.

Trump is far away though. You have to cab everywhere. $130 per night isn't that great.

Is it $130 per night after all taxes, resort fees, etc?

I don't really care which hotel it is, since the hotel is pretty much just a place to crash anyway. As long as it's not a dump like IP.

$130 a night is a pretty good price imo.
hooters hotel right now is $20 I think. It's a dive from all the reviews, but if you're just interested in a bed and four walls. Might be an option?

On another note.. If you can drive (rent a car), I would highly suggest driving as it is way better than taking a shuttle or cab to EDC.

Vansterdam 11-04-2012 09:55 AM

who wants to be the designated driver to and from edc lol :fuckthatshit:

!Nhan 11-04-2012 11:34 AM

lol rotate DD's. driving is so much cheaper and more convenient as well since you can go around during the day too. i remember paying between $60-70 a cab ride one way, and that stupid line up after the first night. Didn't get a cab till almost 7AM, and we left at 4! I really hope they fix that

Was that split between friends and did you also cab it to the other days as well?

Missed it this year, but will try and catch it next year.
Anyone have tips for first time goers?

!Nhan 11-04-2012 01:40 PM

naw we just cabbed the first night only. ended up renting a car for the other 2 days and cost us 60 each. saves so much time from waiting which was the biggest bitch. if you don't want to rent a car i'd recommend getting the shuttle pass

flawless 11-04-2012 02:52 PM

Renting a car is the way to go. You could be high as shit when leaving edc but traffic is literally a crawl back to the strip. Takes at least 1.5 hrs to get back.

knight604 11-04-2012 03:14 PM

limo is the way to go .

Derek_N84 11-05-2012 01:14 PM

going down for edc week for the parties but not the festival itself. as someone mentioned earlier, the organization is so cluster fucked and the traffic, just complete buzz kill.

melloman 11-05-2012 01:26 PM

Yup, going with LSF22 and gf and prob others!!

Going more for hotel parties/events then the festival itself. :fullofwin:
Probably going down for 5 days 19-24 just for some relax time too :toot:
