FR-S on Snowtires

Hi Revscene,

I have a 2013 FR-S which I had just switched over to snowtires (Bridgestone Blizzak WS70) they are mounted on 16" steelies similar offset as my oem rims.

After the switch I noticed a significant amound of body roll and twisting feeling when doing a light jerk of the wheel left then right. It now has a boaty feel to it.

Any thoughts of what can be causing this? Sorry if this might be a dumb question

its because you have a softer and taller sidewall. low profile gives a stiffer ride

It's because your new tires have more sidewall than the stock ones (16" vs 17" rims with the same overall diameter) and MUCH softer sidewalls. The tires deform a ton compared to your old tires. Winter tires will always feel much softer because the sidewalls are designed to deform to help with traction in snow, etc.

also, WS70's don't exactly have the same grip on dry ground as your primacy HP... winter tires always make me feel like i'm driving a boat...
