The Gevalia discs are straight money. It's a nice little treat everytime they go on sale | Gevalia dark italian roast extra bold is really legit. For those who has a Tassimo and have money to spare, the Second Cup paradiso is out of this world. Easily the best T-Disc coffee you can buy.

All of these machines are consumer grade with no commercial parts, unless you buy a commercial machine. They are all relatively simple machines consisting of a basic plumbing and electrical system, most of which are made in Asia to reduce production costs and to increase net profits. But of course, there's no need to state the obvious. The bottom line is these machines are for the masses.
My opinion on these machines are based on experience on working with and owning commercial-grade Italian espresso machines.

i never paid more than 50 cents for the tdiscs and that was for the gevalia dark roast too. when on sale it is even cheaper as low as 25 cents if you buy from the states. you can also find them on craig s list for about the same

My parents aren't going to go to the states just for tdiscs and they sure as heck won't go on CL's.
I factored this into which one to get for the parents. I ended up with the Keurig because the cost of the kcups and availability.

was just at costco and saw the t65 with 80 disc + filter for 129.99
but just bought the t46 at bestbuy with price beat for 95.99
then went and got the tassimo disc box at costco for 19.99
should I return the bestbuy t46 + tassimo disc and go buy myself the t65 with 80 disc for 129.99 at costco instead?
input?

Still. Lazy. | I've had coffee from these machines and it still does not compare to a French Press with freshly ground coffee.

That Tassimo is $134.99 now, on costco.ca
is it cheaper in store?
DAMN.. the Keurig Platinum B70 for $164.99 comes with
My-K-Cup reusable filter to use your own coffee beans or tea leaves
12-pack Timothy’s breakfast blend
12-pack Timothy’s Columbian Excelencia
12-pack Van Houtte house blend
12-pack Van Houtte Columbian medium
12-pack Green Mountain variety pack
bah.. i think i will return my Keurig to Bestbuy and go costco for this..

Where did you find it for $115? | Bestbuy only price matches for instock items... since walmart doesnt have it in stock, they wont honor that price... But i will return it to BB and go costco.. a higher model plus tons of Kcups.. or get the Tassimo bundle..

I also use a keurig based machine at the office where i tried over 30 flavours already. Even after spending time to adjust more/less water to get the flavour right, it just doesnt stack up against my tassimo at home. The kcup coffees taste more budget overall (unless you have a recipe to make that perfect cup), whereas the tassimo knows exactly what to do (steep, exact temp, brew, water level, steam, etc) and tastes a bit better. But like what Tapioca says, nothing beats a french press! |

Personally i own the t65 (old model now) but i wish i got the t55 instead which is newer
Simply because it utilizes a better tdisc mechanism
The only plus to the t65 is it lights up the cup area and has a digital read display

Tassimo uses the barcode to know what to do, depending on the disc... so most coffee from T-Discs will taste more "full" than the K-cups.
Keurig just runs water straight through.
My Tassimo at home beats my work's Keurig any day... But it's free at work, so can't really complain

last time I checked all Sears had it at that price. You can also get best buy to beat the price but I don't think wasting 30 mins to save $2-3 is really worth it.
ps I bought mine at metro town they had a lot of machines left Posted via RS Mobile |
