| Where to rent camera lenses?
Hi, I am looking to rent a camera lens and possibly a teleconverter in a few weeks. I am looking specifically for a Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 or even longer but has to be a fast lens. I will be shooting for my friend's proposal while hiding in the bushes. haha. Are there any local stores that you guys recommend that I can rent this lens from?
Or, are there any revscene members on here that has one that can rent one to me? It is just for the day and I take really good care of my lens. I used to own one myself but sold it to help buy a car.

I used to go to Leo's Camera Supply on Granville for rentals. Make sure you call in ahead of time to make sure they have it when you need it. Leo's Camera Supply

^I've used both those places, and have had good experiences. Leo's pre-auth'd $3k on my credit card for my rental though, so make sure you have enough credit. I'm not sure what Beau's policy is.
If you have some time, online rentals are usually a bit cheaper, although I've never used one myself. Lens Rentals Canada These guys are pretty big. Legit business.

As far as I know, Beau is the only place in Vancouver that rents Nikon.

Thanks everyone. I just called Beau 30 minutes ago and rented from them. Pretty good prices on their inventory and their inventory is huge. Same policy as Leo's, they pre-auth'd ur credit card the amount the lens is worth brand new.

...and we might be getting more inventory. Sigma is pushing hard for us to become a pro dealer/rentals. I'm still not convinced.
Gilly, when are you renting? I'm on holidays until late next week so you did not talk to me, but it would be nice to meet you.
