Vote for Pak Mail Langley!

I saw the "Vote for Berz" thread, and figured this would be ok

I am asking for a favor which requires only 2 mouse clicks.

Please vote for Pak Mail Langley in the Favorite Christmas Display contest, being held by the Walnut Grove Business Association at this link Vote for your Favorite Display - Please Share with your friends | Facebook . In doing this, you are helping the Langley Food Bank!

How you ask?

For every like that our photo gets, Pak Mail Langley is donating $.25 to the Langley Food Bank, the only member of the WGBA to make this additional show of support. *To a max of $250

Our tree is at the bottom left of all the photos. We were to include an item related to our business in the display, so we decided to make the whole tree out of materials found at Pak Mail!

Also, just for liking our photo, you also have a chance to win gift cards! It's a win-win!

The deadline to like our photos is December 15th, hence I am posting in this thread since it is time sensitive...

Thank you and hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It's one thing for a single dad and a long standing member of the community to want to get some swag with the help of RS, it's another for a business to use charity to promote themselves, IMO

I think we have a "please vote for me" thread where you can put stuff like this into. But I think your company should just donate to charity regardless.

In the end, I guess it's up to RS to decide if they want to help you or not..

I liked the photo, because the Langley Food Bank will benefit from the $0.25 donation.

I agree with Skinny though, the post has a disingenuous feeling; it feels more focused on the opportunity for promotion than actually benefiting the food bank.

I could be wrong, that's just the vibe it gives me.

I don't deny that there is a bit of self promotion in it and if it is considered taboo on the boards, I will gladly retract.

If there is another way you guys can think of promoting it please let me know. I really did not mean to offend anyone and apologize if I have.
