Recommendation for a good local Ford dealer

I'm interested in the new Explorer, and I'm wondering if any of you can suggest a dealership locally?

I'm not looking for the Richmond acura of Ford dealerships.

Go on Ford Motor Company News - Blue Oval News and get an X-Plan Pin.

X-Plan will give you a deeper discount on a new ford and admin fees have to be waived. All incentives can be added on top of the X-Plan discount.

EDIT: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums...an-x-plan-pin/

Brown Bros Ford has been good to me in the past. I still deal with their parts/service department, and their service is top notch.

I just picked up a truck from Key West Ford, they gave me an good deal and an incredible trade-in-value for my old truck.

Did you finance your new truck? Key West is WELL known for doing BRUTAL finance deals, outright ripping people off that aren't sophisticated enough to really dig into the implications of their loan. I can't tell you how many people we would have come in trying to trade a car in that they had bought and been financing through them and were so far backwards they didn't have a hope. Key West would be about the last place on the planet I'd buy a car, but that's just me, obviously some people have had positive experiences there too.

it's a ways out, but I've had amazing success with Magnuson Ford in Abbotsford. (a division of Metro Ford in Coquitlam).

General Manager is a twat.

Only half decent person was the shop foreman Lindsay ( sp ? ) but his hands are tired by both management and head quarters.

Michael the service adviser is a nice guy though.

I am basing this with experiences from 3 years ago, but my feelings have not changed.

Coastal gave us great trade in on the car. They did fuck some stuff up during the sales, and left my mom quite bitter. We now get the car serviced at Brown Brothers on her principle of "If you don't make me satisfied, you don't get the money from working on my car".

The salesman said it has to be a close family member who gives me the pin. And possibly has to be under their name..?

anybody know how the service department is at cam clark ford in north vancouver?

I'll probably have to take my explorer there for a pcm issue later, and have another unit installed and reprogrammed.

Anyone who is a current Ford employee can get you a PIN. Your salesman is wrong. The PIN must be in your name to be valid. It doesn't matter if the employee is from Canada or the USA.

Do you plan on ordering a Explorer or purchasing one of the lot?

Stay away from West Coast Ford in Maple Ridge.

Co-worker of mine bought his new F-150 there, and although the deal to buy the truck was half decent, the clowns working in the service dept are a joke.

They BUTCHERED a sunroof repair on his new truck, to fix a leak.

After multiple attempts from West Coast to fix the leak, he took the truck to Dams (the one in Langley by Willowbrook Mall?) and they could not believe the hack repair job the guys did at West Coast. They took pics and sent it of to Ford Canada so they could see how bad it was.

As a result, another co-worker ended up buying a new truck from Dams, and had good dealings with them.
