before it gets posted with "wowowowzers.. eagle grabbing baby...holy sh*#(#*&%978459q7435T!"

Baby-snatching eagle video called fake after going viral - Montreal - CBC News

Of course its fake. If that was to happen the talons would pearce right through the kids shoulders

SkinnyPupp 12-19-2012 06:59 AM

I assumed it was fake, but posted it on my fb anyway since it looks so cool. Eagle trying to snatch a baby isn't the hard part to believe. The phony part is that someone captured it on video

Watching this, it's not hard to believe

Wow... never knew Eagles could carry that much weight.

StylinRed 12-19-2012 10:01 AM

if it were real that baby would have long ago been dinner

optiblue 12-19-2012 10:42 AM

Looks convincing though!

Only Golden eagles have that ability.

It does happen. Those damn things push goats off cliffs all the time. There have been many cases of small dogs getting taken. Why is this so hard to believe? An golden eagle is FUCKING HUGE.

EAGLE VS. MOUNTAIN GOAT: AMAZING FOOTAGE! FULL CLIP, HI-DEF - YouTube

Wow that's kinda scary. You could be a baby goat minding your own business, and next thing you know, you've been pushed off a cliff by a frickin' eagle. You fall to your death and then you're supper!

More on why it's fake:

Quote:

It was actually produced by students as a class project at a new-media training institute in Montreal.

Their assignment: create a viral video and a hoax.

They needn't worry about their mark now. They were promised a 100 per cent score if they received 100,000 page views — and within a few hours, sometime after lunch Wednesday, they had smashed that target 50 times over.

"We had no idea what was coming," said a giddy Normand Archambault, who created the video along with fellow students Loic Mireault, Antoine Seigle and Felix Marquis-Poulin.

"We were all speechless."
Quote:

Claude Arsenault, a spokesman for the Centre NAD where the trio studies, said the video was done as part of a project in 3D animation and digital design. Both the eagle and the toddler were created in 3D animation and integrated into the film afterward, he said.

The idea of an eagle snatching a baby came up after a brainstorming session. The group had surveyed YouTube to see what people were watching.
Another video from the same project I think:

Original video has 16 million views! Holy shit!

When I watched it, it was like 500
