Lowest price to locally buy Continental DWS tires?

Where can I buy Continental DWS tires, locally, for the lowest price, along with install and balancing?

Thanks in advance

RS' sponsors

Even if they don't offer the absolute cheapest prices...it wouldn't be ethical to mention any competitor company's on this forum anyways. But I'm pretty sure any of the RS sponsor will be able to hook you up with a decent price...

When you call Sorat, make sure you ask for their manager/boss...I forget his name, but last time I called Sorat and mentioned RS, the guy I spoke to had no idea what that was.

Then I found out on here that the owner knows most about it.

So he can avoid some of the dumb shit that happens when ordering stuff online?

I ordered my Super Sports online from discount tire. When they came in UPS just dumped them beside my garbage cans in our driveway. $1200 of merchandise, just fucking dumped out in the open for anyone to grab.

^Obviously it would be cheaper in the states for sure...but I'm sure OP has his reason why he specifically asked for "locally" in his post. Whether he needs the tires NOW....no time to go down to the State....no valid passport....etc etc.

I'm looking for 215/45/17

Discount was my first choice before posting on RS, I've bought from them before. DWS in 215/45/17 is on nation-wide back order in the USA, so places in the USA can't get them right now.

I phone up a few places locally here already, including some RS sponsors. The place where I get my work done on my car does not have them in stock here.

I was wondering if people had other places APART from RS sponsors to refer me to, that is why I made this post. I will check Image in Motion, I haven't checked them yet.

try speed syndicate. I priced out mine compared to tirerack (shipped to canada). It was about the same price. Same for my bridgestone blizzaks. 50-75 bucks here and there who cares, less hassle and support local business!!

A viable alternative to the Conti DWS is the Kumho Escta 4X. A friend was in exactly the same situation as yours -- originally looking for 215/45/17 DWS, but those were on US national back order (seems like it's been at least 2 months already?), so he went ahead with some Kumho 4X. I think the tires ride a bit stiffer than the DWS and has better turn in than the DWS as well, but it isn't quite as good in the wet.

For the most part, my friend has been very happy with the tire though.

Speed Syndicate is the shop I get my work done at, it was the first place I called locally.
Unfortunately, they are out of stock as well.

I wish RS had a sponsor page that lists out all the sponsors and their phone #'s and some items they sell.

on topic: Check overseas auto. I remember Jim posting something about these tires when I was looking for tires.

i had those Kumho 's on my integra, good for the first 20 000 km, then the performance just droppped. Wore funny, vibrated, no grip in the wet. Got everything check out, the tires just shit the bed.
Got Falken 912 cause they were cheap. Now running on Nokian wr2 and couldnt be happier.
Next tire for my new car will be DWS's from discount tire.

try to call dales alignment in langley. They have decent prices too. Usually similar to tire racks.

And agree with someone above about online ordering. When i ordered my first pair of winter tires from tirerack and got them shipped to my house they left them outside. Anyone could have stole them. 1200 bucks.

I've gotten 3 sets of tires shipped via discount tire or tirerack, All i do is call the shipper the day before delivery and tell them that i need to be present for delivery, If i'm not home, They don't get delivered.

lol I actually run 215/45/17 DWS myself,

Just got a few quotes from local places for 225/40/18 DWS and there was a difference of about $40-50 between the most expensive and cheapest places. Give sorat and speed a message they have great prices for local.

Would still save $150 or so buying from the states though, that makes it worthwhile for me

Anyone try the Kumho 4X before? I am considering those too as they are $150 cheaper for my size and they won the tire rack test for budget UHPAS.
I've been really happy with my Continentals especially for wet grip and they really have shown no wear over the last 15000kms but if there is a cheaper alternative that is close I would probably go that route.
