The Bay DT has a few.

we have them at browns but they are pricey as hell. 140-160 i believe. they are like 80 on amazon

They have them for $160 at Little Burgundy (in PC or on Robson), but as OP mentioned thats really expensive. I got mine down in the States for around $90.

where is browns?
i saw clarks at oakridge bay, but they did not have the desert boots. I also like the clarks jink, low version of the desert boots.

ill check out Pacific centers little burgundy as well.

I was planning on trying them on and see how i like them then probably order it from amazon.

thanks

they have them at the bay, townshoes and browns.
softmoc has them on their online store, which you can order and have them shipped to a store (you can order in store as well)

shoe warehouse also has them sometimes.

Be aware that the Clark's you buy from one store will not necessarily be of the same quality as the supposedly identical shoe purchased at another store!

Few people realize it, but Clark's shoes are manufactured by a wide variety of factories around the world to meet the specific price-point objectives of the retailers who carry them. So a particular Clarks style you find at, say, Sears for $99 regular may not be manufactured with the same materials and life expectancy as a pair of the same style (with the same style name) sold at the Bay or a smaller boutique store for $129 regular.

I guess you'd have to look at where they were made, but that's such a pain in the ass when there's so many different stores that carry them with different prices.

I'm pretty sure the budget ones are the bushacres.

No. The Bushacre is a different model. The upper is the same, but the Bushacre has a rubber sole where the Desert Boot has a crepe sole.

areyounoob 12-29-2012 03:32 PM

The uppers are different too.
see: Clarks Desert Boots

I think the rubber sole looks better than the crepe sole, but to each his own.

anyone have size 9 or 9.5 clarks desert boots? Do you mind measuring the length of the sole on the bottom? I called a few shops but they all dont have the right sizes so probably best to order online. thanks

These shoes fit half sz big

I would say they fit almost 1 full size big.

I wear 8.5-9 for chucks, 9 for nike, 8.5-9 for JP's, and I fit comfortably in a size 8 for CDB's.

Town shoes (i believe), Browns, the Bay DT all carry them, but I bought mine off amazon for like 72$ shipped (pt roberts)

to be really really honest, i know you set your mind on Clarks, so this might mean nothing ot you, i've seen very similar pairs for 1/2 the price, somewhere close to 60-70 price range (not clarks of course). You can totally get by with another inferior brand.

that's what i did nad i'm goign to use the money i save to buy a pair of red wings which i won't pay 1/2 price for some timberland / fake look alike pair. just my 2 cents.

areyounoob 02-05-2013 09:44 AM
