Just look at their reviews on Urbanspoon: Tokyo Thyme - Kerrisdale - Vancouver | Urbanspoon
The Sashimi salad, toro cones, and chicken teriyaki (diff from other places) = amazing | Do they have brown rice option?? Tried searching but no luck |

The sushi was quite good and fresh, but I probably won't go back due to price and location. Not that it was expensive (it's average, personally I'd rather pay a bit extra for a place like Sushi Kamizato in Poco), and I'd rather not worry about my car when eating inside.

The post above recommened "Hanako", any reviews on that place? I need to find a place that is :
-authentic japanese
-in North Surrey (south surrey also fine I guess)
-place not super busy
-good atmosphere where two people can talk
-comfy seats
-food at least 7/10

im just gonna say this.
I eat alot of food in Vancouver. My life is always finding the best food in Vancouver, and I get depressed if I have a bad meal. I'm essentially a food hipster.
So when I say this is the best meal, and one of the most authentic meals i've ever had, that matched the 1-2 michilin star places that I've been to in Japan, i'm probably right.

Went and checked out Hanako today. It was great. It's the only place I've been to that served o toro. Everything was fresh. The saba was fantastic! My first uni was pretty good, too! O toro melts in your mouth. They thought I was Japanese because of what I ordered . Will return.

Toshi on 16th got my vote in terms of quality and price. Love the mackerel and soft shell crab there. The sushi is very fresh. Try their hamachi and tuna belly sushi, it just melts in your mouth.
