| Decent Sushi
Need a few other names for decent sushi.
Tojo - been here but 120 a head is a tad expensive and not something I want to do too often
Miku - been here also, spent about 120 a head min.; great new vibe, pretty cool, again, not some place i would go too often.
Ebisu - i enjoy this place, great unique menu, decent food and it's not epic pricy.
I am looking for something between Miku and Ebisu, somewhere that's decent, good reviews and in Vancouver.
I know Richmond has Hachi, which I have been, and I've also been to Seto, I vouch for those two places, I'm looking for a few more options to check out good places that's not as pricy as Miku. Anyone? Thanks!

Food is mediocre (much worse than before), service is terrible, and there is absolutely no reason to go here over the other ones.

Thank you all, I read the "last restaurant I've been too", just that when there are so many pages, you tend to forget. Great suggestions by all, all the reviews are all solid 4 - 5 stars so that's pretty cool. Minami yaletown is a well known one, i used to work right above their office, it's decent but nothing to rave about. Keep them coming.

haven't been in that area for a while. That's quite disappointing to hear.

Last I heard, he was looking to re-open closer to Kits?

yeah the chef at shima-ya is a bit more reserved and serious but friendly. he did say he was from toyama prefecture. anyways, the mebachi and kohada he served were definitely above average but the ika served here was excellent. its been the first ika i've had in vancouver that wasn't gummy at all and cut perfectly. the neta in general was all cut very nicely.

Wife of the sushi chef is an excellent cook herself..she handles the hot non sushi foods.
Just look at their reviews on Urbanspoon: Tokyo Thyme - Kerrisdale - Vancouver | Urbanspoon
The Sashimi salad, toro cones, and chicken teriyaki (diff from other places) = amazing

+1 for Tokyo Thyme.
I eat there every time I shop in Kerrisdale. No question.
But when I'm at work downtown and craving for a quick cheap fix, I go to Momo.
