That thing would handle like shit with all the extra weight up front..kinda defeats the purpose of a Miata, but whatever floats your boat.

V8 Miatas are beasts on any track. It's the Cobra kit car for people that can't afford a Shelby Cobra, OR even a Cobra kit car. From the Monster Miata FAQ:

Q: How much weight does the V8 conversion (engine, transmission and differential) add to the car?
A: Approximately 250 lbs. total.

Q: What is the weight distribution after the conversion?
A: With a half tank of gas, 53/47.
