i have a massive collection of pennies and im wondering if cashing in is too late.

U can still use them and exchange them.. U just won't be able to get them anymore until they are out of circulation

They are still legal to use. The mint isn't making them any longer so in the future you will see less and less of them because of that.

Separate the copper ones, and melt them down. Raw material-wise, they're worth about 2 cents each.

Stupid.

The cost of melting a copper penny far outweighs the profit unless you plan on melting them by the thousands. Oh yeah, it's illegal too.

Of course you need to melt a lot. By the hundreds of thousands. Legality only matters if authorities find out. :troll:
