I agree, there is nothing creepy about it. You see people with mental health issues acting like this all the time. Less so in suburbs of course, but they are everywhere.

It's actually one of the first things I noticed when moving here, I see crazy people whenever I go to the city - people with major problems. They aren't haunted by ghosts, they are just crazy. I actually feel bad for them, but I also avoid them because they can be unpredictable.

what angers me about it in vancouver is that the government, you know, those people we elect to do best by us, the voting public, closed down riverview (or whatever it was called) and released most of the patients... releasing them into the downtown eastside.

now we're blowing money on bike lanes and shit like that - fuck... get these people help. i'm no fan of taxes, but people born with problems require our help to live a more normal life, i'll pay for that as part of my taxes

The names of the characters have really nothing to do with the references the OP is making. Dahlia is not a super common name, but not uncommon either. And the claim that she was at the Cecil is irrelevant anyway

The name Cecilia is even more common. And again just because it sounds like Cecil doesn't mean anything

And none of the tenants at the Cecil complained about the water being 'black' or 'foul'. Just that the water pressure was low.

Sony is turning this into a feature film

Matt Tolmach will produce the film, which is based on the true story of a mysterious murder at a downtown L.A. hotel.

Sony has picked up a horror spec script called The Bringing by Brandon and Phillip Murphy. Sources say that there was a lot of interest in the project from several companies.

Sources say the spec was bought $300,000 against $700,000.

The story, based on true events, follows a private investigator who is hired to investigate a mysterious murder at a downtown Los Angeles hotel, uncovering its dark supernatural history. The style of the film is described as in the same vein as The Shining and The Conjuring.
The spec is based on the story of Elisa Lam, the woman found dead in a water tank at the Cecil Hotel. Her strange behavior was captured in elevator cameras ahead of her death.

The Murphys are repped by WME.
