Feel obligated to reply to this thread. Love avocados, usually have them in the kitchen but can't tell you how many times I've forgotten about them only to find a hard shell with nasty brown shit inside. Avocados be expensive.... still bought some today. Can't stay away.

The Vietnamese one is milk, condensed milk, ice, and avocado, I think.
At least, that's how my Viet friend makes them

same here. when I buy them, I pick ones that are as hard as possible (soft means ripe and soon to turn brown). then I keep them in the fridge, they last about a week longer than leaving on the counter.

Like tomatoes, I'm not really into eating avocados all by themselves but in, on, around or near other stuff, I'm all over it.

I decided to open up an avocado to eat after having them sit for a couple days, because I wasn't sure if they were ripe.. I had to go through 3 avocados to find a good one

a very useful guide on avocado ripeness

Avocados are healthy, generally considered as a kind of "super food".

Been having at least 1 or 2 daily since 10 months ago.

I love avocados. When I was a kid, my mom used to prepare avocado by cutting it into pieces and pouring some sweet condensed milk on it. It sounds super unhealthy but man, it was so good.

Apparently avocado is a aphrodisiac too.

Just opened up an avocado today and it was completely grey inside. I've opened ones up with brown spots when they were overripe, but this one seemed good to the touch, but when cut open the color of the flesh was grey all over. Anything I did wrong here?

I love making avocado pasta sauce. A couple of avocados, some lemon juice, basil, olive oil, garlic and salt in the food processor. Serve with spaghetti with some pancetta.
Not my picture but you get the idea...

What I tried recently, which is even quicker, is cutting an avocado in half and just putting like 1/2 teaspoon of soy sauce on each of the halves. IMO it's the closest thing to a sushi-type kinda deal
