New phone won't connect to bluetooth deck?

Hello car audio friends,

So a couple years ago I got a basic Sony Xplod deck for Xmas. Wired in my sub and amp, works great, nice and simple. Comes with BT too.
At the time, I tried pairing my Iphone 4 with the deck, and lo and behold I had wireless music and phone calling. Awesome! Never had a car with that before...

The recently, I retired my iPhone 4 and bought a Samsung Galaxy S3, then went to pair it...and it doesn't show up. My phone doesn't see "XPLOD" in the list. I tried rebooting both devices etc and no luck.

Any idea why my new phone won't recognize the deck? Is my deck too old to recognize the newer bluetooth device? Do I have to get a new deck already to get back bluetooth connectivity in my car?

thanks!

No Dude. It's all good. I forget the exact protocol to make it all work for you, but if you want to drop by the shop after Wednesday, we will hook you up for free.

Is your deck in pairing mode? Usually need to turn pairing mode on for both devices.
