I usually go to a few places in Richmond, and being in Richmond, its where I usually go. Sometimes I'm out in Burnaby. Anyone know any good places??

there's 2 there. i forget the name of the one that's good, but don't go to victory. don't let the name of victory fool you, it's a total :failed:

the one that's good gives you a choice of tea leave so you add them yourself. i *think* it's top gun but don't quote me on it

bcedhk 02-12-2013 09:33 AM

thats top gun, is only affordable if you get their VIP card (40% off).

i thought po king got shut down?

one of those places that gets so busy they try to cram 6+ people into a 4 person table

FerrariEnzo 02-12-2013 12:20 PM

Dude, nothing wrong with that.. Haha Asian style... Try 10people at 6person table.. Haha

Groot 02-12-2013 02:00 PM

went to po king one time and as we were walking to the door we see the owner running out the door with a bill.. apparently a group of LBs dined and dashed lulz

I agree with Dai tung,

Golden Swan gets pricey,
Cindy's palace is Bleh
Golden Phoenix isn't bad

Po King sucks. People go there cause its cheap.

highres604 02-15-2013 12:44 PM

Po King is a gigantic shithole. Only reason it is crowded is because it's the only one in that area.
There was shrimp shell in my ha gau's.

I've been there once by choice and 2 other times from family invites. All 3 times it sucked BAD.

And they like being yelled at by the boss lady.

Any good decently priced dimsum? Don't feel like paying Kirin, Sea Harbor, or Grand Dynasty prices.

bcedhk 02-15-2013 03:01 PM

you mean, in general? if you go eat around 9-11, most places in Richmond have 20% off dimsum.

I usually go to the one on the 2nd level near Pearl Castle at the Continental mall or at Gingeri (more expensive, but less than kirin).

The dim sum place next to London Drug on 3 road seems like a popular place, anyone tried it before?

bcedhk 02-15-2013 03:03 PM

But for those who are just eating your tipical dim sum (siu mai, spring roll, chicken feet), they all come from the same place that pre-make and freeze it. it just depends how much oil/salt the dim sum places uses.

There's Lotus but to be honest, it's not that great. If you want dim sum but don't want to leave Surrey, sure it'll do. However, I'd make the trek elsewhere for something better.
