Apparently there is a real turkish donair place.
It's located on broadway near olympia pizza.
I'm hoping they have iskander kebab

I'm going to make my way there this weekend and will report back.

Never been there, but have you been to Anatolia's Gate in Burnaby? Don't remember if they had "donair," but I love their crazy looking breads and some sort of saucy dishes. Been there only once, but would go again.
I actually don't remember the food other than the bread, but I think it was good. I am a bread guy and love bread.
Also had a Turkish coffee there which was interesting.

I work a few blocks from there so I tried them a couple times. I first had the beef shawarma and it was really good then the next day I had the chicken and it was terrible.
So anytime I go there I stick with the beef.
