Great meet guys. I'd like to thank everyone for coming out and recognize Smoothie's contribution. Look forward to seeing him becoming more visible at future meets as well as another st0ck and n00b host.
Great turnout. A lot of great looking cars. It looks like everyone had fun and thats always great to see at these things.
We'd like to recognize and thank B.C. Hondas for bringing some of their members to the meet. The guys on that site are a great group and we're glad to have them at one of our st0ck and n00b events.
Just a quick note for you all:
There will be absolutely no smoking of weed tolerated at any Revscene meets. We understand that for the demographic who seems to enjoy the import tuner lifestyle there are a number of members who enjoy the herb as well. Hell, we even have a thread in the NSFW forum about smoking weed. I don't smoke weed but I don't judge.
That being said, let me say in no uncertain terms that smoking weed at a Revscene meet, unofficial or official, is not permitted. We show up at a parking lot without warning anyone we're going to be there and hope for the best. The last thing we want to do is undo years of work trying to improve the image of these meets by looking like a bunch of assholes who bring their cars to somewhere, get stoned, and drive home under the influence.
I don't care if you weren't driving, its the public perception that matters. If you've read me post on the topic of "face" in the past, you'll know I don't give a shit about having good "face" to others, but this is different. Smoking weed in public at a Revscene meet hurts the community as a whole. I don't even need to talk with !SG, !NR, rb, or any of the other members of the alphabet administration to be able to say that this is an official policy.
Going forward, our next meet (held in May) will be in East Van so look forward to that. Oh, and look for the return of games and prizes. Smoothie was telling me some of his awesome ideas (which makes me know that we've made the right choice in asking him to be a part of these meets) so look forward to those.
Anyhow, any comments, questions, or discussions can be directed to me or Smoothie. Also, if you took a picture at the meet, and it doesn't need to look like a perfectly colour-balanced, super clear and wonderfully framed shot, post it in this thread.
Even if you snapped a pic with your first gen Motorola Razr of a car you liked the look of, we want to see it. With the exception of Integra Girl, there is no wrong pic to post in this thread.
