Yep, that lot is patrolled by Diamond, and those guys pretty much ticket every single car in that lot during nightmarket season. They have zero regards for whether you are a customer of the mall or not. I went to eat at that mcdicks with a few friends last year while the nightmarket was open and we all came out to tickets on our cars.

Vancouver Chinatown Night Market is not worth going to. I totally wasted my time this evening. I was there at around 9:30 pm and some vendors were already packing up or closed. Not many people there, so can't blame them. The food carts that were there the night before were nowhere to be seen today. With shit like that happening, I can't see it continuing. I wouldn't recommend going to the Chinatown Night Market to my worst enemy.

the population and neighbour hood have changed.... not as many chinese and more hipsters are added in... trust me i know... i saw a stand that only sold deep fried candy bar... like really?!?! how do people expect to make a profit out of deep fried candy bar only when it's sold $1 each. You would need such a huge volume, it's impossible for chinatown nightmarket.

Went to the river rock one on saturday. Since that place closes at 12am, I came at 11:30 and got 3 skewers for 6 bucks, came back 15 minutes after walking around and got 5 skewers for 5 dollars

Also got a skewer for a dollar from a mandarin place where it was just young teens working. (near the potato hurricane stand) It came out raw and they apologized and gave me a $5 off mongolian hotpot coupon

Went to river rock night market on Sat Lol park like a block away. People is so dumb they would riather wait in traffic for 20mins to park right next the night market while it only took me 5mins to walk from my car to the night market.

Food was ok. The fried chicken wings place seems decent and is cheap, the fake shark fin soup tasted good as usual, the skewers were decent. However, I think there are too many place selling bubble teas and from the look of things doens't seem too many people is getting it.

Went there for food and leave right after lol. Maybe if I go earlier next time I will take some pics with the yellow rubber ducks!

i've never understood this mindset.

it makes me every single time i see a line of cars waiting somewhere idling away to park just a touch closer.

Take an elderly person to the night market and make their day....... added bonus = parking up front. Closer than VIP parking.

If my grandma were still alive, she'd love the night market. My mom, not so much. Crowds = not good.

While I did like the squid, I wouldn't get the XL. Just way too much for 2 people imo, especially when there's so much other food to fill up on.

Japanese crepes...

Went to the Bridgeport location on Friday at @~11:40pm. Vendors are starting to close but not that much discount of foods. Fake shark fin soup was $5 for a large instead of 6. Skewers were 5 for $10 instead of 5 for $11. Did manage to get to watermelon juice for $3 tho
