Dashcam with Novice license?

It says "No electronic device" on my restrictions. I'm wondering if a dashcam be restricted too?

meh I've been using it for the past couple years and never been hassled for it. I think as long as you dunt touch it while driving it's ok.

Quick question on dash cams since we're on topic.

If you get pulled over and it's recording, do you have to inform the police officer that dash cam is recording?

Or do you not have to mention the fact that you're recording.

Just asking because a lot of police officers act differently once they know they're on video

Never got in shit before back when I had my N. But then again I usually don't tell cops I have a dash cam.
I even went to my class 5 road test with it on and my examiner was complimenting it.

No electronic device means phone, GPS etc. Dash cam is passive and shouldnt be a problem.

Unless you are fiddling with it while driving.

"Cellphone and driver distraction Restricted from using both hand-held and hands-free cellphones and portable electronic devices while driving or riding. The GLP hands-free restriction is lifted for riding if no valid class 7 or 7L licence is held."
