Lowest priced tires? / ordering from states?

So wheres the best place to get tires from? looking for specifically light truck tires such as BFG Rugged Terrain or BFG All/Terrain

tire rack has the rugged TA for 600 and A/T for 800, i'm asuming prices like that cannot be had locally?

worth it to ship to blaine and pickup?

Not too long ago, Racing Greed mentioned they're able to supply tires at prices equivalent to those found in America.

Pirelli Cinturato P7 Tire Reviews (2 Reviews)

I bought those tires from states for $650 out the door. Local $202 per tire + fees + tax

Achhilies ATR sport - Local $800 ; states - $575 out the door

Most shops in the GVRD cannot compete with online/states prices. I've been told a variety of reasons from "lower buying power to taxes/duty to everything is cheaper in the states". Some of those reasons maybe true but the fact remains - buying tires from states is cheaper if you are willing to put in a bit of work.

Agreed - use the search function. I alone have at least 2 threads!!

In your experience, were you subject to paying WA state tax?

So buying in the states are you having them mounted and installed there or just picking them up and hoping to not pay at the border?

I bought new tires end of march from discount tire Bellingham. They match price of any online store just gotta bring them the flyer/print out. Even with paying all the taxes and also the tax from bringing them over. I still saved about 150$. Had them mounted there as well

I don't want to jack the thread or start a new one but I was I am looking for some bbs lm reps . I checked out some adds on craigslist Seattle but I'm having a hard time finding reviews on some of the local shops down there.
Just wondering If you guys know any local or us shops that sell reps for a reasonable price .
Thanks !

Lowest price I found for the set of 20" I want for my E70 was $18xx. Went down to discount tire in bellingham, saved almost $700. They had great service and my car was done in 20 min!

This may sound stupid but i'm assuming everyone who goes down to the states and having your tires mounted, balanced, and installed is still claiming that work/purchase at the Border and paying the duty and taxes on them?

if you have a nexus or plan to get a nexus i would claim it.

whatever small tax you pay isnt worth getting flagged and having your nexus revoked or taken away.

on the topic of Nexus and bringing back goods. In the booklet they give u at the interview, it says something along the lines of.....If you're bringing back goods valued at more than what the tax exemption is, you can't use the nexus lane.

How many of you still use the Nexus lane when going down to Blaine or Point Roberts to just pick something up and come back?

^ Just asked a buddy with Nexus, you can either go to a normal line or hand them a declaration form.

and yes. like t4 said, not worth the hassle if you get caught. Even with paying whatever you're still saving...now it depends if you wanna save more or not lol

Seems like through tirerack the difference is only about $30 per tire from Kal tire, and I'm sure somone could probably beat Kal tire so probably not even worth it to go across for the All-terrains
