Post your may long weekend pics here!

So I didn't find one of these threads, and figured this was a decent place for a new thread.

What did you do this may long? and lets see some pictures!

mine started slowly, got super liquored up at a bar saturday night and ended up at the local ball fields at a party and got too drunk to call a cab, awesome!

so sunday morning a few of us decided we'd head up to the Elaho valley and find the Elaho Giant! it's only 80+ miles from squamish and we had just put $100 into the jeep ($40 in the sidekick) and we set out for out adventure!

we were doing pretty well until we got to about 37 mile when the Squamish Supervisor SUV passed us with it's sirens on (a problem since cell reception stops at about 9 mile) and we really wondered what was going on ahead of us, and how serious it was since a cop got the call from a few hours out of cell reception. and when we hit 38 mile the cop was pulled over, fire warden was pulled over and we found this, as you've all seen on the news...

Holy fuck, we saw 3 people beside the truck, 2 up and around walking and 1 in a sleeping bag injured. we really hoped there was only 3 people in the truck, and it turned out there was only 3 and they are the 3 luckiest people I've ever seen from 200 feet up a fucking bank.

So we kept going. and had a real somber feeling in the truck, cuz you don't see that shit every day, and we didn't know there was only 3 of them until the end of the day.

so our next stop was 43mile on the G main at the molson memorial section, also known as peaches and cream falls. no idea why. I had the most majestic piss of my life here. and I'll never forget it

we headed back from the G main to the Elaho main and kept rolling up to 60 mile where it was time for a couple pictures

at 60 mile the road splits to E-1000 on the left and E-main on the right, and our map showed the Elaho Giant halfway between the roads at sundown creek (which wasn't marked on the road) so we went left first. we stopped at 64 mile which is the end of the road, and found a gateway to meager creek hotsprings hiking trail, and a random nissan pathfinder out there! and we backtracked to 60 mile and headed up the E-main to 63mile and found sundown creek. after 5 minutes of easy hiking we found the fucking Elaho giant. 7 hours after we left Squamish 1/2 tank in a 95 cherokee

so enough of the tree, we rolled up to the crash site about 5 hours later, hoping the road would be clear, and we spotted this bad boy working his magic

he was just helping search and rescue get people and gear out of the canyon the Tacoma crashed into. that's when we found out there was only 3 people in the truck and they were all air lifted to vancouver. We felt a lot better after that, hoping all day that only 3 people were in that truck.....that luckily somehow from an act of ceiling cat landed on it's tailgate and saved everyone in the truck.

and to leave on a happy note this was our day trip truck

Best pic I could find lol

-had some exotic West African food for lunch at African Delights Restaurant. It's right in the heart of Whalley, Surrey.

Here's a picture of some of the food that my buddies and I ate:

Egusi Soup (The bowl of soup stew in the middle)

A soup stew of Goat Meat, Dried Fish, Salted Cod, Mackerel, Cooked in a Blend of Melon Seeds, Bitter Leaf, Fresh Tomato, Onions and Palm Oil. Delicious!

Fu Fu (pronounced Foo Foo): The white stuff is African bread made of steamed plantain flour.

You wash your hands in bowls of water. Then you take some of the Fu Fu bread and put the soup stew on it to eat.

Chicken with Jollof rice in tomato sauce. -fried plantain. The plantains are awesome! They taste like really sweet bananas.

I'll play!

Friday night, went out for a small photoshoot with our cars.

Best part of the night was when we found a freakin' frog, and caught it LOL. Don't worry, we were gentle and didn't squish him or anything.

Then Saturday, I helped a friend replace a hub on his 87 Celica. And by help, I meant stand there and maybe hold a ratchet. :P

Then we hit up night market, and took some more pictures haha. None of us had a DSLR with a proper wide angle set up, so cell phone pics are all we have :P

Then Sunday, we had a BBQ at Whonnock Lake in Maple Ridge, followed by another small photoshoot, then go karting at TBC and finished the night with bubble tea lol.

I haven't edited any of the photos from this night yet, so here's one from mb_ :P

I have GoPro footage from the races, just haven't had a chance to upload them yet. Fun weekend! Tired as hell though haha.

Nice, what range is that?
I just sent in my application for my RPAL/PAL ... hopefully I'll have a new 10/22 or a mossberg 500 for my birthday
What kind of 22 are you shooting?

Back OT, spent most of my weekend at work

Power kiting.

Tensor 4.2 = 3.5m in width (which is 1/3 the size of a skydiving parachute)

It could lift me up about a few feet off the ground upwards and forwards if the winds are 16 km/h+.

Not on May 19 though.

This is what it looks like other other side (pic from Prism Kite Technology | Home)
