i don't think anyone in their right mind would rent you a house for one night to hold a party.

the liability alone would probably negate whatever monetary compensation that you are planning to offer.

my suggestion, rent a couple generators and lights, get some trucks and head on out into the woods. just make sure you clean up after yourself and not be an asshole.

i'm sure you have a friend who is a "dj" who's willing to bring his macbook and "spin" some "beats" for the party.

go rent a cabin or hotel if you want to do that.

It's going to be a big party. I've seen other people rent houses for party.

Ah, i know what you mean now.

It's not a house.

Friend of mine rented a 'penthouse suite' (forgot the exact name) for a party before. Not sure about the price/location he picked though (didn't end up going).

penthouse at a hotel is your only option

even to rent a hall now and get a liquor liscence the costs of security etc arent worth the time

unit 06-05-2013 03:43 PM

theres no way a penthouse can be rented by a highschooler.
even if you got someones older brother to sign for it or something, the liability is just way too extreme.
whoever puts down their credit card will be making a terrible mistake.

dinosaur 06-05-2013 03:44 PM

yeah...rent a hotel room....just don't use YOUR credit card to secure it.

DragonChi 06-05-2013 03:51 PM

I thought you could rent halls, gyms, community centre places...

unit 06-05-2013 03:56 PM

^assuming this is a high school grad party, you cant rent any of those and fill it up with underage drinkers.

spideyv2 06-05-2013 03:56 PM

I remember when I was 12teen

PeanutButter 06-05-2013 03:59 PM

My friend rented kensington for their 16th birthday party. The music was pretty loud and it was a pretty wicked time. I'm not sure how much though.

My friend rented a house on west end for 600 for the night forgot if it included cleaning. Not worth it cause you would be paranoid that the whole night that someone will fuck up the house and you will be liable.

The house got trashed btw but it seems like the owners expected it

my buddy tried that for his 20th. paid for the room...once people started showing up, the guy at the front desk pretty much said "yeah...no" showed him some contract(im guessing that's what it was) where it says none of the rooms are allowed to have partys or more than 8 people in them at a time. was something stupid, but since he signed it, the hotel kept his money and kicked him out after 30 minutes of being there.

why don't you ask the people you have seen? i'm sure they will be much more resourceful than an internet forum.
